Madness
September 14, 2008
There comes a time in every girl’s life when she obsesses over a cartoon character so much, that she decides to Do Something about it.
I think mine was today when I turned my thumbdrive into a domokun…
The original thumbdrive
Domo!!!
Domokun is the mascot is of Japan’s NHK television station. My love for Domo has nothing [...]

Here are two drawings done a while back. Medium is 2B pencil on drawing block : (Wait a while for image to load)
Rib cage! With the pelvic bone attached. It was pretty rushed. And it is slanted in a very wrong way.
Lizard eating a praying mantid… The scales on the lizard’s body drove me absolutely [...]

It was my teammate’s birthday yesterday, and will be another one’s tomorrow! Happy 16th to both (:
I made them a card each, with the lines of a netball carved into it.
And yes I know, my cards are very predictable.

People
August 3, 2008
I hardly ever draw people because I am really really really bad at it. Here is Abraham Lincoln and Mother Teresa. I know! She’s slightly cross-eyed!!! ):
[EDIT] OK to clarify, my mommy helped me with this (: I did most of the shading and the basic shapes while she helped me with overall proportions.

My sister’s friends organised a CIP project to Neijiang city, located in Sichuan. The entire thing was called Project Love. Here are the designs I did for the front and back of their shirt:
The back of the shirt shows the map of China. The placement of the heart is also roughly indicative of where Neijiang [...]

Some photos from Beijing trip:
Astronomical observatory. This place didn’t change much. Even the frog dustbins were still there.
798 Art District. I like this painting a lot! Superman saves the day in a 山水画!
Forbidden City
Tiananmen Square
Nice grass = happy JingYing
Here’s the Petronas Towers in KL, Malaysia:
Haha a few years ago, my sister and cousins got trapped [...]

Favourite doodles from my diary!
These butterflies were copied off Leny’s old waterbottle. I think the trail of dots behind the butterflies are quite disgusting. By the way, Leny has lost the bottle ):
What was supposed to be a chrysanthemum flower became a bundle of worms.
Two big nosed men. Totally copied from seacreative. This artist left [...]

Today is the last day of term 2!
For my sabbaticals, we get to use fujitsu lifebook laptops where there’s a pen for you to draw directly on the screen. So here’s my attempt to draw a doodle digitally. It looks ridiculous!
Here’s another doodle on paper. I’m testing out how things will look like on different [...]

After reading an entry at BibliOdyssey, I decided to try doing a Printers’ Ornament.
Printers’ ornaments are decorative motifs used to fill in page space, signify the end of a chapter or the end of a book and generally add an aesthetic quality to the printed page. They have been around since moveable type printing commenced [...]
